Prime Minister Viktor Orbán participated at the inauguration of Argentine President Javier Milei in Buenos Aires on Sunday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

Orbán participated at the ceremony with a number of other world leaders, including Felipe VI, King of Spain, Chilean President Gabriel Boric, Uruguayan President Luis Lacalle Pou, Paraguayan President Santiago Pena, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Responding to a query from MTI, the prime minister's press chief, Bertalan Havasi, said Orbán had told Zelensky that European Union member states were still in the process of discussing the matter of Ukraine's EU accession.

Orbán invited Milei on an official visit to Hungary at talks ahead of the inauguration ceremony.
