EC Reconsiders Some CAP Provisions
As a result of the cooperation of farmers at the European level, the European Commission has reconsidered the provisions of the Common Agricultural Policy in some areas.
The National Chamber of Agrarian Economy and the Association of Hungarian Farmers' Unions and Farmers' Cooperatives welcome the simplifications, but to preserve competitiveness and protect EU consumers, much more significant changes are needed in the EC policy, the two organizations emphasized in a joint statement.
Thanks to the amendments to the decree, there are changes in some rules, but in other areas, particularly in relation to Ukrainian food imports, there is still no meaningful progress, they added.
