MNB International Reserves Rise EUR 5.138 bln in January

International reserves of the National Bank of Hungary (MNB) stood at EUR 46.542 billion at the end of January, up EUR 5.138 bln from a month earlier, data released by the central bank on Wednesday show.

The stock of cash, deposits, and securities in the reserves fell EUR 913 million to EUR 29.186 bln, while stock of "other reserve instruments" climbed EUR 5.971 bln to EUR 8.993 bln.

The value of monetary gold in the reserves stood at EUR 5.722 bln and stock of IMF SDRs reached EUR 2.271 bln at the end of January.

Hungary sold two bonds on international markets in January: a USD 2.5 bln 12-year dollar bond and a EUR 1.5 bln five-year green eurobond.
