MNB Business Confidence Index Slips in March

The business confidence index of the National Bank of Hungary (MNB) fell to -8 points in March from 0 points in the previous month, the central bank said on Thursday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

The measure of businesses' assessment of their current situation slipped to -26 points from -20 points.

The gauge of companies' outlooks was down at +10 points from +21 points.

The indicator for companies' propensity to make investments fell to +28 points from +38 points.

The sub-index for making new hires decreased to +1 point from +8 points.
