Hungary's common cause is green energy, which is why the government is asking citizens' opinions online on 13 important issues, from solar panels to utility reduction to electromobility, said State Secretary Attila Steiner of the Ministry of Energy Affairs in a video uploaded to his Facebook page.

Steiner emphasized that the government relies on both solar and nuclear energy in the long term to ensure a safe, clean and affordable supply.

He added that the importance of the Paks nuclear power plant in the national energy mix is unquestionable because the current four units provide half of the domestic electricity production and more than a third of domestic consumption.

"We are counting on the opinion of the Hungarian people on this issue as well, so please fill out the online questionnaire of the green energy consultation by April 15,"

Steiner said in the post, where he indicated that the questionnaire is available on zoldenergia.kormany.hu.
