The capital's housing market started the year with a price increase, in the first two months the average square meter of brick apartments has already risen to over HUF 1 million, Duna House said, according to profitline.hu.

According to the real estate agency's own analysis, the average price per square meter of second-hand brick-built apartments in the capital's districts was between HUF 558,000 and HUF 1.3 million based on the transactions of the first two months.

Duna House's head of PR and analysis was quoted as saying, "the improvement in the economic situation, the declining interest rate path, and the renewed state subsidies brought about the turning point at the beginning of 2024."
