KSH: Vehicle manufacturing output up almost 24%

Vehicle manufacturers continued to lift industrial output in June, a second reading of data published today by the Central Statistics Office (KSH) shows.

Output of the vehicle manufacturing segment jumped 23.7 % in February from the same month a year earlier.

Output of the computer, electronics and optical equipment segment – another significant segment of the sector – was up by 1.4%. Output of food companies rose 16.7%.

Overall output of Hungary’s industrial sector climbed an unadjusted 11.3% in June year-on-year in June. Adjusted for the number of workdays, the output was also 11.3 %. Seasonally – and workday – adjusted output rose by 1.8 % in June, compared to May. In the first half of the year, output was up 9.4 % year-on-year.

Domestic sales of industrial companies grew by 8.4% year-on-year in June. Export sales were up by 15.1%.
