Hungary's government will offer local companies a monthly subsidy of HUF 60,000 for hiring refugees from the war in Ukraine and helping them find accommodations, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said in a message on Facebook, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

That monthly subsidy will be topped up by an additional HUF 12,000 for every child in the new hire's family, Szijjártó said.

He added that more waves of refugees should be expected in the coming period.
