Croatian School Rebuilt With Hungarian Support Inaugurated

A Croatian primary school in Petrinja, rebuilt after an earthquake with HUF 8.7 billion in support from the Hungarian government, was inaugurated on Monday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

Speaking at the inauguration, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó acknowledged Hungarian Interchurch Aid for carrying out the project to rebuild the 5,500 sqm school with 20 classrooms and a student body of 350.

He noted that the Hungarian government had also contributed HUF 60 million for the renovation of a school in Topolovac and HUF 750 mln for the reconstruction of a church in Sisak damaged in the earthquake in 2020.
