Gov't broadens availability for payroll support
The government has broadened eligibility for payroll support for companies that hire registered job-seekers, State Secretary for Employment Policy Sándor Bodó said on TV news channel M1 yesterday.
The HUF 35 billion measure will support the placement of some 60,000 registered job-seekers, Bodó said. In the fall of 2020, the government rolled out the support covering half of payroll costs, gross wages and social contributions, up to a total of HUF 100,000 a month, for hiring jobseekers under the age of 25 or with a low degree of education.
From June 1, eligibility for the subsidies has been extended to all jobseekers under the age of 25 and anybody who has been registered as a jobseeker for a period of at least one month.
