Romanian industrial production increases In April

Romania's industrial production increased in April, figures released by the Bucharest-based National Institute of Statistics (INS) showed on Monday.

On a yearly basis, industrial production surged a working-day adjusted 63.2% in April, due to the rises for manufacturing (85.9%), the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (19.5%) and mining and quarrying (10.9%).

Industrial production rose a seasonally adjusted 2.7% month-on-month in April. Manufacturing output accelerated 6.2% while mining and quarrying grew 10.7% and energy gained 2.2%. On an unadjusted basis, industrial production declined 5.9% monthly in April and grew 68.0% from a year ago.
