Hungary Trade Surplus at EUR 1.3 bln in September

Hungary's trade surplus amounted to EUR 1.3 billion in September 2023, according to data published by the Central Statistical Office (KSH).

The value of exports declined by 5.1%, and that of imports was 19% lower in EUR terms in September 2023 than in the same period of the previous year.

Total export value amounted to EUR 12.8 bln, and import value fell to EUR 11.5 bln.

The share of the EU Member States (EU27_2020) was 76% in exports and 69% in imports.

Compared to August 2023, the level of export in goods increased by 13%, while import level was 8.1% higher.
