Hungary Trade Surplus Grows in February

Hungary's surplus on external trade in goods reached about EUR 1.7 billion in February 2024, with the balance improving by some EUR 1.1 bln year-on-year, according to data by the Central Statistical Office (KSH).

The value of exports in the second month of 2024 amounted to EUR 12.6 billion and that of imports to EUR 10.9 billion.

This means that the value of exports decreased by 2.4%, and that of imports lessened by 12% in EUR terms.

The share of EU Member States was 77% in exports and 72% in imports.

The external trade in goods level increased by 9.2% on the export side, and was down by 0.1% on the import one, month-on-month.
