Raiffeisen Books EUR 264 mln Profit in Hungary in 2023

Raiffeisen Bank International booked after-tax profit of EUR 264 million at its business in Hungary last year, up 44%, an earnings report released on Wednesday shows.

Net interest income climbed 48% to EUR 525 mln. Net revenue from commissions and fees increased 11% to EUR 202 mln.

The local business paid EUR 91 mln in bank levies, up 52%.

Total assets of the business stood at EUR 11.571 bln at the end of December, up 7% from twelve months earlier. Stock of client loans was practically flat at EUR 4.605 bln, while client deposits rose 8% to EUR 7.883 bln.

There are about half a million Raiffeisen clients in Hungary.
