Hungary is weighing the possibility of buying LNG from Venezuela, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said after a meeting with his Venezuelan counterpart, Yvan Gil, in Caracas on Friday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

Talks have also started on the use of Hungarian technology to extract crude in Venezuela, Szijjártó said.

Szijjártó welcomed the United States' easing of sanctions against Venezuela and said he hoped the European Union would follow suit.
