Crops

The new restrictive measures were taken in order to keep open the shops that are essential for agricultural production, animal husbandry and food production, Minister of Agriculture István Nagy has written in a statement, according to novekedes.hu.

The minister said that domestic food production has so far successfully avoided any obstacles.

All segments of the food industry, from raw material production to logistics, are functioning properly, so that any growing customer demands can still be met, he added. He also confirmed that shops selling materials and equipment necessary for agricultural and forestry activities will not close, and agricultural machinery and their parts will be available.

In addition, pet food and feed stores, farm shops, horticultural stores, plant and tree nurseries and veterinary pharmacies will remain open.
