Most Internet Users Use Phone to Go Online
Around 87% of Hungarian internet users use their smartphones to go online, news agency MTI writes, citing survey data published by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) show.
The ratio of internet users who connect to the web with their phones is highest among Hungarians between the ages of 16 and 24, at 95%, but stands at 59% among people between 65 and 74.
About 57% of internet users access the web using a laptop, while just 36% use a desktop computer, the survey data from last year show.
Preferences for accessing the web using laptops, tablets, and smartphones are stronger among women, while men like to go online using desktops and other devices, such as smart TVs, game consoles, e-book readers, and smartwatches.
