Anyone who wants a house in Somogy County can choose from the country's most expensive and cheapest properties, writes business daily Világgazdaság.

In the county, there can be almost a HUF 1 million difference between the square meter prices. A residential building can cost a few million forints in the southern part of the county and more than HUF 100 million on the shores of Lake Balaton.

Moreover, the difference in real estate prices is significant not only between the northern and southern half of the county but also between the eastern and western sides of Lake Balaton.

László Balogh, the leading economic expert of ingatlan.com, told the Somogy Online news portal that the price of buildings along the coast has risen so much in recent years that it is now well overtaking the square meter price in Budapest.
