Hungary Home Sales Drop 34% in June

Home sales in Hungary fell 34% year-on-year to 7,120 in June, state news wire MTI reports, citing a monthly estimate by listed real estate broker Duna House.

Home sales in the period between January and June fell to just 46,010. This figure represents a drop of 40% compared to the same period a year earlier.

Duna House estimated that mortgage outlays came to HUF 253.5 billion in the first half of 2023, down about 67% from the same period a year earlier.
