Home Rental Rates in Hungary Rise Close to 13% in October

Home rental rates in Hungary rose 12.8% year-on-year in October, data compiled by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) from listings site Ingatlan.com show.

Rental rates in the capital increased at the same rate as the nationwide average.

In a month-on-month comparison, home rental rates edged up 0.4% for the whole country and rose 0.9% in Budapest.

The monthly rental rate for a flat in the capital averaged HUF 221,000 in the first half of the year. A home in a large city in the west of the country could be rented for HUF 156,000/month.
