Romanian Jobless Rate at 2-year Low in September

Romania's unemployment rate stood at 5.4% in September, the same level as a month earlier, the Bucharest-based National Institute of Statistics (INS) said on Friday, quoting provisional data.
Compared to September 2022, the jobless rate fell by 0.1 percentage points.
The number of unemployed persons decreased by 2.200 to 444.400 in September, with the unemployment rate for men (5.8% vs. 5.9%) inching down while that for women stayed at 4.9%.
Compared to September last year, the number of unemployed persons declined by 3.800.
The unemployment rate among adults aged between 25 and 74 was estimated at 4.5%. Unemployment among people aged 15 to 24 remained high at 22.3%.
