Number of Foreign Workers Nears 100,000

The number of foreign workers working in Hungary may soon reach 100,000, reports portfolio.hu, based on data from the Central Statistical Office (KSH).

According to the data, there are currently 95,000 foreigners working in Hungary, and their number is increasing by about 1,000 every month.

KSH points out that the increase occurred among third-country nationals. In 2020, the number of foreigners working in Hungary was 60,000-70,000; by 2022, their number already exceeded 80,000.

The portal notes that, in addition to Ukraine and Serbia, foreigners from 15 other countries can come to work in Hungary under a simplified procedure.
