Szecskay Attorneys at Law Appoints Baldwin as Partner

Szecskay Attorneys at Law has announced that Sam MacMahon Baldwin has been promoted to the firm’s partnership effective January 1.

Baldwin is a seasoned EU & competition law practitioner with extensive expertise in advising businesses on all EU & antitrust matters. He acts for a broad range of clients including in the pharmaceuticals, telecoms, and financial services industries, and, in addition, the European Commission has selected him to serve as Non-Governmental Advisor to its Directorate-General for Competition.

The law firm expects Baldwin to further drive growth in its EU competition law practice in close cooperation with team head Anikó Keller. In particular, he will lead the firm’s cross-border antitrust, merger control, State aid, and EU Internal Market mandates.

With British family roots, Baldwin grew up in Denmark and obtained his law degree from Copenhagen University in 2010. He practiced law for eight years at Danish top-tier law firm Gorrissen Federspiel where he was called to the Bar as Advokat in 2013. He moved to Hungary in 2017 where he joined Szecskay Attorneys at Law, and qualified as a fully-fledged Hungarian attorney in 2022.
