New Country Managing Partner at EY Hungary
Tamás Vékási has been appointed as country managing partner (CMP) of EY Hungary, the Big Four company tells the Budapest Business Journal.
Vékási started his career at EY in 1997 as a tax advisor. He worked in the company's Amsterdam office, managed the Indirect Tax department in Slovenia, and led the company's global VAT/GST tax group in the United States for two years. In Hungary, he managed EY's Indirect Tax sub-service line as a partner for more than 10 years. Since last January, he has been the leader of the company's Tax and Law service line. He specializes in indirect taxes and related digital solutions.
"It is a great honor to represent the company where I started my career more than 25 years ago as CMP. I am committed to further strengthening EY Hungary’s remarkable community, which has given me so many defining experiences and opportunities both professionally and personally," said the new country managing partner.
