Passenger Transport Firm Fined HUF 10 mln for Unauthorized Lending

The National Bank of Hungary (MNB) on Thursday said it fined B&B Travel Személyszállító HUF 10 million for providing loans to companies for over two years without authorization and prohibited the company from continuing the activity with immediate effect.

MNB found in a probe that the company provided loans that did not qualify as intragroup loans in dozens of cases on a commercial basis for more than two years, without an authorization.

Based on the findings of the probe, MNB is filing a report on suspicion of unauthorized financial activity.
