Some 40% of the population of Pest County commuted between home and work in 2020, according to EU statistical agency Eurostat.

This ratio was influenced by two polarized processes; the increasing number of people moving to the agglomeration and the decreasing number of commuters on a daily basis due to the spread of the home office. As the coronavirus epidemic recedes, some experts predict the spread of hybrid work, but many workplaces are opting for a complete reorganization.
