Moldova Industrial Output Drops in August

Industrial production in Moldova decreased 0.1% year-on-year in August, easing from a 4% fall in the previous month, Trading Economics reported citing data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
It was the twelfth consecutive month of contraction but the softest drop in the sequence. Production declined less for manufacturing (-1.8% vs -7% in July) and mining & quarrying (-10.1% vs -11.5%).
Meanwhile, output growth decelerated for electricity, gas, steam, & air conditioning supply (23% vs 32.4%).
On a monthly comparison basis, industrial activity jumped 4.3%, rebounding from a 0.7% decrease in July.
