The program to support the purchase of electric vehicles by businesses could start in February, the Ministry of Energy Affairs announced in a statement released on its website.

According to the plans, non-refundable state contributions can be requested from a budget of HUF 30 billion for domestic companies to purchase purely electric passenger cars, vans, or minibusses.

Depending on the capacity of the battery, a grant of HUF 2.8 million-4 mln can be obtained for the purchase of an electric vehicle.

Applications are expected to be submitted for 13 months starting Feb. 1, 2024.
