Orbán Meets With Meloni in Budapest

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán met with his Italian counterpart, Giorgia Meloni, at his office in Budapest on Thursday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

The sides discussed important European and international issues as well as the "outstanding ties" between Rome and Budapest, the PM's press chief said.

Both condemned Russian aggression and called for peace in Ukraine. They also reiterated the need for "rapid and decisive" steps to address the matter of migration.

The prime ministers committed themselves to further close cooperation.

Meloni addressed the fifth Budapest Demographic Summit earlier on Thursday.
