Report: Number of registered jobseekers increases
The number of registered jobseekers in Hungary increased by month-on-month 5.8% to 413,800, however, this figures fell by 5.3% in year-on-year terms in January, the National Labor Affairs Office (NMH) said on its website today.
Approximately 101,500 (24.5%) of these individuals had been registered jobseekers for more than a year by the end of January.
Of the 23,400 vacancies announced in January, 10,200 were not subsidized by the state; this number had increased by a year-on-year 5.6%. Vacancies related to various public work or other subsidized schemes reached 13,200.
