Szallas.hu's revenue rises 66%

Revenue of Hungarian online accommodation booking service Szallas.hu rose by 66%, reaching HUF 1.34 bln last year, the group said in a statement today, adding that online bookings could reach 60% of market share this year.

Director Zoltán Varga said that the company managed bookings worth HUF 10 bln for 1.2 million guest nights last year, while growth in the Hungarian market reached 60% and was at 80% in foreign markets.

Szallas.hu has a 31% share of the online booking market. Its site has more than 700,000 registered users and 1.5 mln monthly visitors, Hungarian news agency MTI said.
