Romanian Jobless Rate Edges Down in July

Romania's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate ticked lower to 5.5% in July, from an upwardly revised 5.6% rise in the previous month, the Bucharest-based National Institute of Statistics (INS) said on Thursday.
The number of unemployed persons dropped by 2,000 from a month earlier to 455,400.
By gender, the jobless rate for men edged down to 5.8% (vs 5.9% in June), while that for women stayed at 5.2%.
The unemployment rate among adults aged between 25 and 74 was estimated at 4.5%.
