Finding Expertise, Not Funding It, Greatest Challenge
Finding talent, not financial constraints, is the biggest challenge for companies that are recruiting, according to research from the HR service provider Miell HoRizon, which examined the labor market situation in the western and central Transdanubian regions, writes hrportal.hu.
The most significant difficulty in hiring is the lack of expertise (50% indicated this), while 41% struggled to find candidates, and only 30% cited financial constraints.
Companies' hiring plans for this year are cautious; 54% of companies plan to hire more than five people.
They are mainly limited to specialists, machine operators, and production workers, of whom there is still a shortage in almost all areas.
Salary is not the number one factor in retention either, but rather a flexible working environment and welfare measures. Salary demands are not the real difficulty for young people, but the coordination of work and private life (46.7%).
