Avg Hourly Rate for Blue-collar Workers up Almost 20% in Q4

The average gross hourly pay rate for skilled and unskilled blue-collar workers in Hungary climbed 19.8% to HUF 1,952 in the fourth quarter from the same period a year earlier, news agency MTI reports, citing an analysis by staffing company Trenkwalder.

The hourly pay rate ranged between HUF 1,700 and HUF 1,900 in most regions, but was HUF 2,100 in Central Transdanubia and close to HUF 2,600 in central Hungary and the capital.

The analysis was based on the wage data of close to 7,000 workers.

The gross hourly statutory minimum wage in Hungary stands at HUF 1,874 for skilled laborers and HUF 1,534 for unskilled workers.
