Wizz Air Among Safest Low-cost Airlines

Transport

Discount airline Wizz Air has been selected as one of the five safest low-cost airlines in the AirlineRatings list, according to a press release sent to the Budapest Business Journal.

The award for the five safest low-cost airlines is given by AirlineRatings on an international level to operators with a fleet of more than 50 aircraft, an excellent safety culture, and a low incident rate.

AirlineRatings.com takes into account several factors, including the existence of serious or recent fatal accidents, audits by industry bodies, company profitability, industry-leading safety initiatives, pilot training assessment, and the age of the airline fleet.

"It is a great feeling to be recognized for all the attention and work we put into the safety of our passengers, crew, and aircraft at Wizz Air. This is our top priority. With the AirlineRatings award, Wizz Air confirms its global leadership not only in sustainability but also in safety," said Zsuzsa Trubek, communications manager at Wizz Air.
