Used Car Sales Rise Close to 6% in September

Used car sales in Hungary rose 5.8% year-on-year to 70,900 in September, listings site JoAutok.hu said on Friday, citing figures compiled by DataHouse, MTI reports.

JoAutok.hu CEO Bertalan Halász said sales were rising on a low base and augured a "tangible" change on the market "no sooner than the end of the year".

The most popular brands among used car buyers were Opel, Volkswagen, Suzuki, and Ford.

In January-September, used car sales slipped 2.5% to 617,100.

The number of imported used car imports fell 19.5% to 80,000 during the period.
