The Budapest Public Transport Center (BKK) on Monday unveiled an upgraded mobile application that plans trips and offers a platform for buying tickets and passes, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

BKK CEO Katalin Walter said the app, dubbed BudapestGO, is a "milestone" in the restructuring of public transport, customer experience, and digitalization.

The app can be downloaded free of charge from Google Play and the App Store.

People running the old BKK Futár on their phones only have to update the app.
