The Hungarian Parliament will discuss support of Sweden and Finland's application for NATO membership on the third day of its spring session starting next week, according to hvg.hu.

According to next week's parliamentary agenda proposal, the general discussion of government proposals on Swedish and Finnish NATO membership would only start on Wednesday, March 1.

Consequently, a final vote would only occur the following week. Finland and Sweden sought membership after Russia's invasion of Ukraine last year and have said they want to join "hand in hand."

If approved, Hungary would be the last member of the European Union to do so. The only other NATO member yet to ratify the expansion is Türkiye, which has objections regarding Sweden.
