Poland employment slows, gross wage increases in July

Poland's corporate employment rose 1.8% year-on-year to 6.362 million people in July, following a 2.8% increase in the previous month, data released by the Warsaw-based Central Statistical Office (GUS) showed on Wednesday.
On a monthly basis, corporate employment remained unchanged at 0.0%. In a separate report by the statistics agency showed that Poland average gross wages and salaries grew 8.7% year-on-year in July and amounted to PLN 5,851.87 (EUR 1,504.60). On a monthly basis, average gross wages increased 0.9% in July.
