Hungary ranks 3rd in EU Q2 GDP growth
"With record growth in the second quarter, the Hungarian economy is on the podium in the EU rankings," Minister of Finance Mihály Varga said in a post shared on his Facebook page.
The Minister of Finance shared a comparison published by EU statistical agency Eurostat in the post, which showed that, based on seasonally adjusted data, Hungary achieved a prominent third place in the European Union, with second-quarter GDP growth of 17.7% on an annual basis.
The record GDP figure also surprised analysts, who also revised their annual forecasts upwards as a result.
