7,243 new coronavirus cases registered in Hungary

The number of active coronavirus cases in Hungary stands at 111,006, with 7,243 new cases and 146 new deaths registered since yesterday, according to data by government coronavirus information site koronavirus.gov.hu.

The death toll stands at 15,765.

The total number of confirmed cases stands at 459,816 up from 452,547 yesterday.

The number of recoveries has risen to 333,045.

Currently, 7,243 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 751 of whom are on ventilators.

So far 3,816,852 tests have been conducted at accredited laboratories. Some 46,620 people are currently in compulsory home quarantine.

Looking at all diagnosed cases until now, Budapest remains the most affected area of the entire country, with the number of cases (both active and inactive) reaching 86,635. Pest County is the second most affected, with 59,981 cases, followed by Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County (26,307 cases).

The number of curfew violations registered by authorities throughout the country so far has reached 46,485.

Until now, 949,497 people have been vaccinated, and 304,880 of them have already received the second dose as well.
