5,270 new coronavirus cases registered in Hungary

A total of 5,270 new COVID cases were registered in Hungary yesterday, bringing the total number of identified infections since the start of the epidemic to 1,269,979, according to data by koronavirus.gov.hu.
Some 82 COVID-infected people died yesterday, bringing the total number of deaths to 39,599.
The number of recovered persons is increasing, currently standing at 1,128,923, and the number of active infections has decreased to 101,457.
A total of 3,090 patients with coronavirus are hospitalized, 307 of them are on ventilators.
The total number of vaccinated persons is 6,269,955, of whom 5,990,568 have already had their second vaccination and 3,191,997 have already had their booster jabs.
