4,977 new COVID cases registered in Hungary

Some 4,977 new COVID cases were registered in Hungary yesterday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 1,218,295 according to data by koronavirus.gov.hu.
A total of 154 patients died yesterday, raising the coronavirus death toll in Hungary to 37,530.
The number of recovered patients rose to 1,026,254, while the number of active cases stands at 154,511.
Some 5,856 infected people are currently hospitalized, and 519 of them require ventilation.
The total number of vaccinated persons is 6,208,430, of whom 5,923,284 have already received their second vaccination. Approximately 3.065 million people have already received their third vaccination.
