22,699 new COVID cases registered over last 3 days

Some 22,699 new COVID cases were registered in Hungary between December 3-5, bringing the total number of confirmed cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 1,157,568 according to data by koronavirus.gov.hu.

A total of 489 patients died over the last three days, raising the coronavirus death toll in Hungary to 35,611.

The number of recovered patients rose to 932,204, while the number of active cases stands at 189,753.

Some 7,440 infected people are currently hospitalized, and 586 of them require ventilation.

The total number of vaccinated persons is 6,159,926, of whom 5,867,068 have already received their second vaccination. Nearly 2.766 million people have already received their third vaccination.
