14,655 new COVID cases registered over last 3 days

A total of 14,655 new COVID cases were registered in Hungary between January 7-9, bringing the total number of identified infections since the start of the epidemic to 1,297,612, according to data by koronavirus.gov.hu.

Some 167 COVID-infected people died over the last three days, bringing the total number of deaths to 39,947.

The number of recovered persons is increasing, currently standing at 1,145,770, and the number of active infections now stands at 111,895.

A total of 2,931 patients with coronavirus are hospitalized, 281 of them are on ventilators. 

The total number of vaccinated persons is 6,292,759, of whom 6,027,578 have already had their second vaccination and 3,286,577 have already had their booster jabs.
