N. Macedonia's real net wage up in March

North Macedonia's real net wage increased by 4.6% year-on-year in March after growing by 0.8% the previous month, the country's State Statistical Office (Makstat) said on Friday.

In nominal terms, the average net wage added 6.8% on the year in March, reaching MKD 28,217 (EUR 457.4), it said in a statement.

The average monthly gross wage paid per employee in March 2021 was MKD 42,097 (EUR 682.8).

The strongest annual average monthly gross wage growth was registered in the sector of Arts, entertainment and recreation (18.3%), Information and communication (12.2%) and Human health and social work activities (12.0%). On a monthly comparison basis, the real net wage edged up 0.5% in March.
