People will be able to withdraw up to HUF 150,000 from their bank account twice a month free of charge at domestic post offices if an amendment initiated recently by the Ministry of National Economy comes into force, hvg.hu writes.
The service will be made available through a POS terminal, the ministry said in a statement.
The statement also recalled that the government has allowed cash withdrawals with purchases at post offices since July 2023.
It added that the current amendment "may further increase the availability of cash withdrawals, thereby helping and improving the situation and quality of life of people living in settlements where no ATM is available but a post office is operating."
