Surplus on external trade in goods at EUR 856 mln in Feb

The surplus on external trade in goods amounted to EUR 856 million in February, according to data published by the Central Statistical Office (KSH).

In EUR terms, the value of exports was 0.8% and that of imports 3.9% higher in February 2021 than in the same period of the previous year. The balance of external trade in goods deteriorated by EUR 255 million year-on-year.

The value of exports amounted to EUR 9.593 billion and that of imports to EUR 8.738 bln.

The share of EU-27 Member States was 77% in exports and 72% in imports.

Compared to January 2021, the level of external trade rose by 9.3% on the export and by 10% on the import side.
