MNB int'l reserves fall EUR 253 mln in May

International reserves of the National Bank of Hungary (MNB) stood at EUR 34.059 billion at the end of May, EUR 253 mln lower than a month earlier, state news wire MTI reports, citing data released by the central bank on Wednesday.

Stock of cash, deposits and securities in the reserves rose EUR 81 mln to EUR 26.092 bln. The value of monetary gold in the reserves dropped EUR 255 mln to EUR 5.247 bln.

MNB's international reserves were EUR 4.318 bln under their level at the end of 2021.
