Poland reports c/a surplus for April

Poland's current account surplus widened to EUR 1.74 billion in April, from EUR 0.72 billion in the same period last year, the central bank reported.

The goods balance posted a EUR 1.29 billion surplus, compared with a EUR 0.01 billion deficit in April 2020, as exports rebounded more than imports.

In addition, the services surplus increased to EUR 2.11 billion from EUR 1.65 billion a year ago, while the primary income deficit rose to EUR 1.61 billion from EUR 0.80 billion.

The services income gap declined to EUR 0.05 billion from EUR 0.12 billion.
